Maybe the name Xu Shao Yang is still rather unfamiliar to many here. He's the male lead in the ou xiang ju Xun Yi Cao Lavender. He's an ABC who sang a total of 3 songs for XUn Yi Cao. Considering his actor status, he's probably the most decent ou xiang singer I've seen. Though there is much room for improvement in his Chinese diction, his voice is really not bad.
His first album will be released in Taiwan on 25th May. Pls do support him! THe 3 songs in the show are Hua Xiang, XIng Fu De Shun Jian and Ai WO Bu Ai. His songs are worth listening.
heard his hua xiang and xing fu de shun jian..both sound nice..esp xing fu de shun jian...as for the other song in the ost..not much impression...
yeah he is not bad considering being an ou xiang still can sing not bad ? acting skills considered ok for a newbie too...

and i like it the 1st time i heard it in some vcd shop, he was playing the guit and singing this in the xun yi cao show...
didnt know he's an ABC, he speak mandarin wif some cantonese accent, tot he hongkie...

He's an ABC. If u watch Xun Yi Cao you can tell by his really slangy English. But his mandarin sounds very...awkward. Luckily it doesn't really affect his singing. You cannot really tell his Mandarin isn't that good from that songs. His voice does have that strength...unlike most ou xiang singers.
I also think Ambrose has a set of promising vocals. His first single "Xi Wang Ni Hai Zai" from his upcoming debut album is a radio-friendly ballad that will really melt the gals heart...hehe
